Thank you and Good Night! Jun. 17th, 2003 @ 04:28 pm
I had this long, convoluted post I had been writing out. One where I said everything I wanted to say to everyone... And then I realized exactly how much I didn't care.

It's been a nice ride but life is changing. And yes, I said life. This, my friends, is not my life. It's a journal where I rant and squee and post things about Lotrips and other stuff, but it hardly constitutes my life. My actual life - the one I am living - is overwhelming me right now and I have to pay attention to it. Consequently, that means that this ride is officially over. I'm keeping the journalfen journal active so I can go in and snark in dl_anon, which I love and adore. It's a very necessary forum and I will continue to be a loud voice/pain in the ass to those who really need to shut the fuck up with their incessant lying and annoying childish whining. (And you know exactly who the hell you are.)

My fic journal is [info]elysiriar and I will post new fiction there as well as any site update information.

I can be reached by email and I'll be haunting AIM occasionally, but this journal is officially closed for business.

To those who didn't judge me, who accepted me and my words whether they agreed with them or not, I thank you for that. It honestly does mean something to me as I found out that it is not something that everyone does.

And to any True Believers who will look at the previous two sentences and call me a hypocrite, note this: Your belief in Dom and Elijah has never been questioned. By anyone. It is the lies, the nasty rumors, and your lack of civility when it comes to anyone else who doesn't think that they guys are a couple that people take issue with. *offers up two-finger salute*

To all of my friends: take care of yourselves and you can certainly believe... I will be around.

*mwah*

DD from Popbitch Mar. 27th, 2003 @ 06:53 am
From Popbitch:
Roger Taylor quit Duran Duran after Live Aid to get married and live on a farm. But now he's back. Or is he? We hear that Joe Travers, drummer in Missing Persons alongside Warren Cucurrullo, is on stand-by if Roger pulls out of the tour.

Note to self: Research apartment prices in San Jose next month.

To bed to dream of Dom/Billy belt fic.

» Know what?
I would like to keep at least a couple of you as friends so I am going to NOT read LJ for a while. Trust me, it will be for the best.

Peace out.
» Hmmm...
I don't know where I am going to be next year, but I certainly hope I have found another fandom to obssess with.

Although... I'm not sure I'm going to find another fandom that has belts quite as enticing as Dom's and Billy's.
» Alisa's crush of the year, er.. month.. I mean night
The post in which Alisa shows just how much in love with Queen Latifah she is. gah...

» A promise kept
And just because I think that he is and I can say it:

Billy Boyd is so damn adorable because he still will not show his tattoo. Talk about a man that keeps promises.

And, um... 'cos I just saw her I have to say that I'm in love with Queen Latifah and have been for eons.

Does anyone know what happened to the site - Together, But Not Like That? It was a great Dom and Billy friendship (READ: Non-slash) site. It had a bunch of pictures and quotes and things. I loved it and when I went back the other week, it was there one day and gone the next.

If anyone knows anything or who ran the site, can someone let me know?
» Sean/Elijah Goodness to go
After last night's Dom/Billy goodness, I believe some Sean/Elijah goodness is in order. Don't you, [info]rakshi? From the beautiful [info]caraloup:

A question from an interview with Andy Serkis:

Q: Did you feel like an intruder on the relationship between Sam and Frodo?

Andy Serkis: Absolutely. They'd been filming for about three months before I arrived in New Zealand so the four hobbits were very closely bonded as friends but particularly Sean Astin and Elijah Wood, Sam and Frodo, they were particularly bonded. And also because they were acting obviously in costumes and make up and everything and they were having to act with this very strange man dressed in a white suit who appeared one day on set and started to try and break up their relationship, their on screen relationship. It's very odd how your off screen life kind of reflects your on screen life and I did tend to spend a lot of time isolated and on my own as Gollum and I did go off and do a lot of climbing and walking on my own but really that was part of the character and it nearly always happens when you play a role. And so the relationship between Sean and Elijah came from the relationship with Sam and Frodo. So I did feel like I was gradually encroaching on their relationship yeah.

The whole interview is here.

*sighing* I love seeing things like this. Sorry, I'm just not that quick to throw their friendship in the garbage because of some fucked up theory that someone throws out there for people to gnaw on.

Lalalalalalala....

BILLY!!!! DOM!!!! SUNGLASSES!!!!
» Must make this public
People are so fucking stupid.

IASP, you know of what and whom I speak.

*faints*

Sean Astin as a rapist. Sean Bean as a murderer.

Give me a damn break.

[info]just_jane_doe - You were so right. But then again, you always are.

*looking for some Homicide or Highlander or anything..*

Probably the only post of the day. Be thankful for that.

» PSA
One of the best programs on the market is AdSubtract . I did have the free version but I just downloaded the Pro version for $29.95 which I used to have ages ago. It blocks everything, including all of the advertisements on yahoo and other sites. It blocks referrers, popups, you name it, it blocks it.

Good stuff.

» Mmmm... Farscape...
I'm watching one of my favorite Farscape episodes - Family Ties - which was the first season ender. There is no way - NO WAY - that I could have survived from one season to the next after seeing that. I remember the first time I watched it on Sci-Fi and I cried at the end (as I still do sometimes when I watch it). And I was lucky because I only had to wait until the following night and it still killed me. I just love John and I just love D'Argo and I just love John/D'Argo.

And I went to the Farscape / Archive and, oh look... when I did my search of two pairings, I came up with 92 stories.

Lalalalalala....

You will look for me and I'll be gone...
